Iranian ensemble to give concerts in Konya

 

TEHRAN – Iran’s Ayan ensemble will give performances in Konya from November 10 to 14.

 

The ensemble, which is led by vocalist Hajir Mehrafruz, will perform the concerts in memory of Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi (1207-1273) in the Turkish city, which is home to the tomb of the Persian poet and mystic.

 

They will perform 10 pieces based on poems by Rumi during the concerts.

 

Photo exhibit on Gaza underway at Tehran press exhibit

 

TEHRAN – An exhibition of photos of the recent Israeli war on Gaza is currently underway at the 20th Exhibition of Press and News Agencies in Tehran.

 

Ninety-one photos by renowned photojournalists from various international news agencies are on display at the exhibit at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla.

 

The Exhibition of Press and News Agencies runs until November 14.
