TEHRAN – Seven Iranian construction companies have been nominated for the 7th Middle East Architect Awards.
The winners will be announced at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai on November 19.
The Xema Design Office was nominated for “25mm Project”, a dental clinic in Tehran, in the Public Sector Project of the Year Award.
The office also is competing for the Residential Project of the Year Award for the Ekhtiarieh Tower in Tehran. The Next Office was also nominated for the award for its collaboration in the Kuhsar House near Karaj and the Sharifiha House in Tehran.
Behzad Atabaki Studio is vying for the Commercial Project of the Year Award for its collaboration on Niayesh Office in Tehran.
Hajizadeh & Associates is competing for the Hospitality Project of the Year Award for the Amiran Hotel & Commercial Center in Neyshabur.
Shams Monument, a plan designed by the BNS Co. for the mausoleum of Shams-i Tabrizi in Khoy, and the Urban Gallery of the Ardabil Grand Mosque designed by the Memar Studio were nominated for the Community/Cultural Project of the Year Award.
Iranian architect Kurosh Hajizadeh won the Architect of the Year Award at the event in 2013.
