TEHRAN -- A group of Egyptian cineastes will travel to Iran next week to meet a number of Iranian cultural officials over making joint films.
Expansion of cinematic cooperation between the two countries will be discussed during the nine-day visit, which will begin on November 11, the Persian service of FNA reported on Wednesday quoting Egyptian actor Sameh Al-Sariti’s interview on the Lebanese satellite television channel Al-Manar.
He expressed his hope that their trip would lead to signing agreements for making some joint film productions.
The visit will be made based on an invitation from Iranian cultural officials.
Among the invitees are director Aly Badrkhan, actors Abdel Aziz Makhyoun and Ashraf Abdul Ghafoor, cameraman Mahmud Abdul Sami, musician Iman El-Bahr Darwish and producer Mohammad Fouzi.
Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance had previously invited a delegation of Egyptian cineastes to Tehran in August 2011.
