TEHRAN -- The Tunisian Cultural Week opened during a ceremony in Tehran on Tuesday evening.
Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini and his Tunisian counterpart Mehdi Mabrouk attended the opening ceremony, which was held at the Sureh Hall of the Art Bureau.
The Mehr and Sureh halls of the Art Bureau, which is affiliated with the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization, will host some Tunisian theater troupes during this week.
The troupes are scheduled to perform plays about their folk culture at these halls.
Several meetings on Tunisian cultural heritage have been arranged. In addition, a seminar will be held during the event in which the impact of Iranian culture on Tunisia will be discussed.
Some bands are scheduled to perform concerts of traditional Tunisian music. Film screenings are among the other programs arranged for this week.
The cultural festival has been organized under the auspices of Iran’s Islamic Relations and Culture Organization.
