TEHRAN -- A group of 133 artists, mostly on the A-list, will display their works at an exhibition in Tehran to raise funds for cancer patients.
The exhibit will open at the Niavaran Cultural Center on Thursday afternoon, the center announced in a press release on Monday.
All the money raised by the art show will go to the Behnam Dahesgpur Charity Organization, a Tehran-based center, which raises funds for needy cancer patients.
The exhibition will be curated by painter Yaqub Emdadian.
Among the A-list artists whose works have been selected for the exhibit are Parviz Kalantari, Nasrollah Afjei, Taha Behbahani, Hushang Seyhun, Kambiz Derambakhsh, Reza Bangiz, Hojjat Shakiba, Maryam Salur and Vahed Khakdan.
A group of young artists whose works have been critically acclaimed over the past few years will also participate in this exhibit. Behnush Forutan, Hooman Fuladqalam, Ali Ettehand, and Dana and Dariush Nehdaran and several other artists are in this group.
