Iran-Kuwait cultural relations are expanding: Jannati

TEHRAN –
Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati, who is visiting Kuwait, says that the two countries have made significant progress in the cultural arena over the past few years.
 
Jannati made the remarks during a meeting he had with several cultural officials and university scholars of Kuwait, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Wednesday.
 
“Bilateral ties have developed over the past decade, especially after the visit of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah to Iran (June 2014),” he said. 
 
Jannati called the Kuwaiti emir’s visit a turning point in relations between the two friendly countries and said, “After the trip, ministers of the two countries also made several visits and held talks on different issues.” 
 
He stressed that cultural relation between the two countries have played a significant role in improving bilateral political ties.
 
Jannati at the head of a cultural delegation arrived in Kuwait on Tuesday to visit a number of Kuwaiti officials.
 
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Managing Director Mohammad Khodadadi and Deputy Culture Minister for Press Affairs Hossein Entezami are also accompanying the minister on his three-day visit.
