TEHRAN –Representatives from the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) visited the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) on Tuesday.
They arrived in Tehran earlier this week to take part in the Iran and the Silk Road Symposium, which was held yesterday at Tehran’s Center for International Research and Education.
They visited different sections of the library, including the sections for rare manuscripts, Iranian studies and Islamic studies.
The symposium was organized by Iran’s Center for International Research and Education, and was supported by the International Information and Networking for Intangible Cultural Heritage in Asia and Pacific Region (ICHCAP).
Azerbaijan, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan are members of IICAS, which is based in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
