Master miniaturist Farshchian feels young at work
TEHRAN – The 84-year-old Iranian master miniaturist Mahmud Farshchian has said that he feels young when he is working.
 
“Sometimes, I work very late at night and I can say that I am always in special spiritual delight, which leads an artist to create a work,” he said on a TV show on Sunday.
 
He appeared on the show to talk about his famous work “The Guarantor of the Gazelle”, which depicts an episode in the life of Imam Reza (AS).
 
Isfahan festival to review Japanese animations 
TEHRAN – Japanese animations to be reviewed at the 28th Isfahan International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults, which will be held during October.
 
A selection of feature and short animated films will be screened in a section entitled “Japan’s Cinema Perspective” on the sidelines of festival.
 
Half-price tickets replace free admissions day
TEHRAN – The project Greetings to Cinema Day that offered free admissions on Iran’s National Day of Cinema on September 12 has been replaced with a program during which movie theaters will offer half-price tickets.
 
The Cinema Organization of Iran initiated the project last year to promote the national cinema.
