TEHRAN -- Lebanese Christian author Antoine Bara’s “Zeinab Sarkhatu Akmaltu Maseerah”, which is about the role of Hazrat Zeinab (SA), the sister of Imam Hussein (AS), in the Ashura uprising, has been published in Persian.
Translated by Gholm-Hassan Ansari, the book was published by the International Publishing Company.
The book was unveiled during a ceremony at Tehran’s Art Bureau on Monday.
Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati, Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization Director Hojjatoleslam Mehdi Khamushi and a number of culture figures attended the ceremony.
Bara is the author of “Hussein in Christian Ideology” and several other books and articles about Imam Hussein (AS) and his uprising against the tyranny of the Umayyad dynasty on Ashura, the tenth day of Muharram on which the Imam and his companions were martyred in 680.
