TEHRAN – The AhlulBayt News Agency in Iran plans to hold a cartoon contest on the theme of International Quds Day.
Submissions should be sent to cartoon@islamicaretz.com until July 22.
International Quds Day is commemorated on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan every year in order to highlight the occupation of Palestinian lands by Israel and to show solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian nation.

TEHRAN – Over 300 films by filmmakers from 54 countries have been submitted so far to the 28th Isfahan International Festival of Films for Children.

The films have been sent by directors from Argentina, Belarus, Russia, China, Greece, Japan, Ireland and 47 other countries.
The festival will be held in the central Iranian city of Isfahan from October 3 to 6.

TEHRAN – A Persian translation of “Beethoven, the Man and the Artist: As Revealed in His Own Words” written by Friedrich Kerst and Henry Edward Krehbiel has been published in Iran.

Translated by Hossein Soltan-Rahmati, the book was published by Afraz Publications.
The book is a collection of Beethoven’s diaries and letters, which reflect his views on music, art, God, education, his own works, and many other subjects.

TEHRAN – Three Iranian short films will go on screen at the 15th Lucania Film Festival, which will be held in Italy from August 10 to 13.
