Another Persian translation of “Gambler” rolls into Iranian bookstores
TEHRAN -- Another Persian translation of Russian celebrated author Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s “The Gambler” has recently been published in Iran.
Sorush Habibi has translated the book, which is about a young tutor in the employment of a formerly wealthy Russian general.
The book has been published by Cheshmeh Publications.
It was previously translated into Persian by Jalal Al-e Ahmad and Saleh Hosseini.
Tehran institute to discuss “One Hundred Years of Solitude”
TEHRAN – Tehran’s Book City Institute will review Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s widely acclaimed novel “One Hundred Years of Solitude” on May 18.
Literati Amir-Ali Nojumian and Belqeys Soleimani will attend the event.
