Ali Mo’allem appointed to CIFEJ board of directors

TEHRAN – Iranian film producer Ali Mo’allem has been appointed to the board of directors of the Centre International du Film pours l’Enfance et la Jeuneusse (CIFEJ).
 
He was elected during the CIFEJ General Assembly, which was held in Beijing from May 6 to 10, cineaste Fereshteh Taerpur told the Persian service of ISNA on Sunday.
 
Hou Keming, the director of the China Children’s Film Association, was elected as the new president of CIFEJ, she added. 
 
In addition, CIFEJ Iranian Secretary General Mohsen Chiniforushan will continue his collaboration with the CIFEJ.
 
Christine L. Mendoza (USA), Faith Isiakpere (Nigeria), Maikki Kantola (Finland), Volodymyr Diagilev (Ukraine), Sulafa Hijazi (Syria), and Vinod Ganatra (India) are the other new members of the CIFEJ board of directors, some of whom have been reelected. They will serve on the CIFEJ board for two years.
 
The CIFEJ headquarters was transferred to Iran’s Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) in 2009, when the Chiniforushan was the IIDCYA director.
