The Iranian theater troupe Crazy Body is scheduled to perform “Mysterious Gifts” and “Mud” at the International Theater Week in Sao Paulo, Brazil in November.
Two performances have been scheduled for each play and director/actor Yaser Khaseb will hold workshops during the event.
In the play “Mud”, his co-performer Hamid Etemedi as a sculptor forms Khaseb out of mud. Caked in dirt, Khaseb is poured from a barrel and shaped, and ultimately asserts himself before the artist.
The solo silent puppet show “The Mysterious Gift” narrates the story of birth until death. The play in which Khaseb is the only actor puts emphasis on performance and music.
Theater troupes from Italy, South Korea and Spain will perform during the event.
Organized by the Brazilian theater group Espaço Sobrevento, the International Theater Week will run from November 3 to 11.
