TEHRAN -- Tehran’s Book City Institute is currently hosting an exhibition of paintings by Susan Qaem-Maqam.
Six paintings with the central theme of nature mixed with the imagination of the artist have been put on display in the exhibition, which opened April 14.
“I used to work in miniature, but also liked to experience new styles. My previous works were traditional, but the new ones are quite different,” the artist told the Persian service of ISNA on Thursday.
I still have plans to continue my miniature style of paintings, however, this was a new attempt, she added.
Susan Qaem-Maqam is a graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran.
She has worked on different media including photography, graphic designs and paintings.
So far she has held several exhibits in Iran and other countries.
Her exhibit will be running for one month in the institute located on Shariati St. near Mo’allam intersection on the corner of Kalateh Alley.
