TEHRAN -- The 3rd Fajr Fashion Festival plans to invite Iranian celebrities to collaborate as models, the Committee for Organizing Costume and Fashion announced on Monday.
“We are determined to invite actors, artists and athletes to cooperate with the committee to help introduce Islamic Iranian fashion and costume designs,” the director of the committee Hamid Qobadi said Monday in in press conference on the 3rd Fajr Fashion Festival.
“I have personally talked with about 15 celebrities, and they have announced their willingness to cooperate,” he mentioned.
One of the problems of cinema and television is the costumes of the actors and actresses, so if we can assign a standard for their costumes, many problems would be removed, he said.
“We have also asked Iran’s Association of Costumes Designers to become a member of our art and cultural council,” Qobadi added.
Moreover, the committee has plans to organize a live fashion show for men. “If possible, there would a one-evening fashion event for men in Vahdat Hall.”
The committee will also be thinking of issuing licenses for fashion magazines. Additionally, an institute of teaching modeling to Iranian standards is due to be established next year.
The 3rd Fajr Fashion Festival will be held in Vahdat Hall from March 6 to 14.
