TEHRAN – Iranian filmmakers Rasul Sadr-e Ameli and Zohreh Zamani are among members of juries for various sections of the 13th Dhaka International Film Festival, which is currently underway in the Bangladeshi capital.
Sadr-e Ameli has been selected for the jury of the Competition Australasian Film Section, which is being directed the Bangladeshi film critic Mofidul Hoque.
The German filmmaker Henrik Peschel, South Korean actor Kim Ji-Seok and Bangladeshi producer Amitabh Reza Chowdhury are the other members of the jury.
Zamani is presiding over the jury of the Short and Independent Films Section. The jury of this section is composed of Dutch filmmaker Clementine Ederveen, Bangladeshi producer Esha Yousuf, Norwegian filmmaker Gyda V. Myklebust and Australian actress Robyn Hughan.
The Iranian movie “The Sealed Secret” directed by Hadi Moqaddamdust is competing in the festival, which runs until January 18.
The film is the story of a lonely and weary woman whose mood is lifted by the help of her friend but the woman is not courageous enough to introduce her friend to others.
