TEHRAN – Iranian filmmaker and screenwriter Jahangir Jahangiri died of a heart attack last week on Sunday. He was 67.
Jahangiri made his directorial debut with “Destiny Makers” in 1977. He directed 17 films during his 35 years of filmmaking.
“The Exiles” and “Incident in Candovan” were among his most famous movies.
His body was buried in the Artists Section of Tehran’s Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery on Tuesday.
