TEHRAN – “The Star-Spangled Girl” written by American playwright Neil Simon will be performed at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center on January 2, 2014.
Bahram Tashakkor, Behnam Tashakkor and Yekta Nasser will star in the play, which will be directed by Bahram Tashakkor.
“The Star-Spangled Girl” is a love story mixed with politics. Andy and Norman are radicals who barely make a living working on their magazine, “Fallout”, which is dedicated to fighting “the system” in America.
Sophie, a former Olympic swimmer, is an all-American, Southern girl who moves into the apartment next door. It is love at first sight for Norman, but his feelings are not reciprocated.
